I have figured out how to post race results. Check results by clicking "Meets" then click on a meet to see results. Or check roster and click on an athlete to see individual results.

Your running shoes are one of the top ways to combat injuries. There are two stores in Des Moines that specialize in running shoes. The employees are trained to fit the correct shoe to your foot and will even let you take the shoe on a "test-drive". One store is Fitness Sports and is located on 7230 University Ave. They offer 10% off to high school XC runners. I don't recall the second store's name, but it is located near the Jordan Creek mall.

A big thanks to Mark and Beth for their continued support of our website. This year they will be our "behind the scenes" supporters, as Coach Cogdill and Rhonda Schmatlz try to keep things up to date on the website. If you see any problems, please let us know. Welcome AHSGCC runners. We are excited to have many new and returning faces. Blessed with cooler temperatures and lots of enthusiasm, practice have gone great and we look forward to another enjoyable season.
The Fall Sports Kick-off will be held at Ames High this Friday, August 22. All AHSGCC runners are expected to meet in the courtyard at 5:30. The team will be introduced at 6PM. A parent meeting will follow the Sports Kick-off and all returning and new parents are encouraged to attend. We will go over cross country basics as well as signups for Spaghetti Club and various other events. Can't wait to see you there.
